Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of transformational leadership, empowerment and job
satisfaction on employee performance. Another goal is to examine the effect of
transformational leadership and empowerment on employee performance through job
satisfaction. The population in this study were permanent employees at the Regional General
Hospital (RSUD) Tidar, Magelang City. Samples taken in this study were 100 respondents with
a purposive sampling method. The analytical tool used is multiple linear regression with the
help of the SPSS 22.0 program. The results of this study indicate that transformational
leadership has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, empowerment has a
positive and significant effect on employee performance, transformational leadership has a
positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, empowerment has a positive and significant
effect on job satisfaction, job satisfaction has no effect on employee performance , job
satisfaction does not mediate transformational leadership on employee performance, and job
satisfaction does not mediate empowerment on employee performance
